The International Wine Challenge are annual awards in which wineries from all over the world participate every year presenting their best references and new releases in search of the "rigorous, impartial and influential" recognition -as its slogan says- of its panel of experts.

Thousands of wines and sparkling wines from all over the world have been presented at the IWC 2022 and among them, 12 wines and cavas from Vallformosa, the best sparkling wine producer of the year, stand out. Discover them!

Four silver medals

Four wines have won silver medals. Among them, the white Cultivare Xarel-lo stands out, while the other three were red wines: Laviña Tinto, Mas La Roca Tinto and Masia La Sala Tinto.

Five bronze medals

The Cultivare white wine's partner, the red Cultivare Sumoll Samsó, won a bronze medal, as did two other wines from the winery: the white Freyé Parellada Muscat and the red Masia Freyé Syrah Tempranillo.

Two Vallformosa sparkling wines compete for the bronze medal: Col-lecció Brut Reserva and our innovative 0.0% alcohol-free cava VFMS, a bestseller of the house that recently won the award in the Mindfull Drinking category at the People's Choice Wine Awards.

Special mentions

It is worth mentioning 3 other Vallformosa cavas that have received a special mention from the jury. They are Gran Barón Brut Bio Organic, Mistinguett Brut Reserva and Vallformosa Col-lecció Brut Pinot Noir.
